A committee of teachers, librarians, and others get together to choose books for the Washington Children's Choice Award each year. Books are fiction or nonfiction picture books chosen for students in the primary grades. In the Central Kitsap School District , each class in primary (K-3) can participate. There are 20 nominees and each class hears or reads each nominee.
Due to the closing of schools during the Covid-19 pandemic, the timeline for voting has shifted. All votes are due by Friday June 5th.
