Volunteer at Rewilding Futures 2027
Volunteer at Rewilding Futures 2027
Want to be part of the world’s biggest rewilding gathering? We’re looking for 50 enthusiastic volunteers to help make Rewilding Futures 2027 run smoothly. In return, you’ll experience the conference from the inside, see talks and sessions, and meet people from across the global rewilding movement.
Who can volunteer
Volunteering is a great, low-cost way to attend, especially for:
students of biology, ecology, environmental science and related subjects, in Copenhagen or elsewhere in Europe
school students, for example IB students completing CAS hours
anyone early in their career and passionate about nature
You’ll need to be:
available and be for all of the following:
Wednesday 28 April: induction meeting, then helping to set up the venue in the evening
Thursday 29 April: conference Day 1
Friday 30 April: conference Day 2
comfortable communicating in English
friendly, reliable and happy to help people find their way
Volunteers under 18
We welcome volunteers aged [16] and over. If you’re under 18, please let us know when you apply, and give us the contact details of a parent, guardian or teacher in case we need to get in touch.
What you’ll do
Volunteers are the backbone of the conference. You’ll help with:
Registration: welcoming delegates as they arrive
Running sessions: keeping talks, workshops and sessions on time, and helping speakers set up
Managing session places: many sessions have limited spaces, so you’ll check people in and out of each session. Think of it as being a friendly bouncer!
Guiding delegates around the venue
Helping at the evening reception
Setting up the venue on Wednesday evening
You’ll be given a full briefing at the induction on Wednesday, and our team will be on hand throughout.
What you’ll get
The chance to see talks and sessions. You’ll watch the sessions you’re assigned to, so you’ll see plenty of the programme while you work.
Lunch and refreshments on both conference days
A dedicated volunteer t-shirt to keep, and a volunteer badge
A certificate of volunteering, ideal for your CV or as evidence of CAS hours
The chance to meet and network with practitioners, researchers and organisations from around the world
Travel support
We’re unable to cover travel or accommodation for volunteers. However, we have a small discretionary fund to help with local travel costs, typically £50–£100, if this would make the difference to you being able to volunteer. Just let us know when you apply.
How to apply
Places are limited to 50. To apply, please fill in our short volunteer form by Mon 8 March 2027, telling us:
your name and age, and where you’re studying or working
why you’d like to volunteer
any relevant experience, such as events, customer service or languages spoken
confirmation that you’re available on all three dates
whether you’d like to be considered for travel support
We’ll let all applicants know by [mid-March 2027].
Please note that on the day volunteer roles will be assigned by the organisers.
