Service Spotlight

Blue Dragon Marathon Run  is an annual charity event that unites participants in a scenic and purposeful journey. MYP and DP Students came together to raise awareness and funds for the Blue Dragon Children's Foundation, which supports underprivileged youth in Vietnam. It's a meaningful stride towards brighter futures.

🌟 Service Spotlight: Writing for a Cause ✍️📖

As part of their Service as Action programme, two Grade 9 students, Emily and Shams, have launched Writing for a Cause — a student-led initiative that uses writing as a way to raise awareness about social issues that matter.

Through research-based writing pieces, they explore topics such as inequality, environmental concerns, and social justice, using words to inform, persuade, and spark conversation. Their work shows how writing can go beyond the classroom and become a powerful tool for advocacy and change.

Emily and Shams are now inviting other students to join the project, with the aim of building a small anthology of student work by the end of the academic year.

This project is a great example of meaningful service: student-driven, grounded in real issues, and focused on amplifying voices. We’re proud of the initiative, creativity, and leadership shown by Emily and Shams, and excited to see where Writing for a Cause grows next.
