Grade 7
Student Requirement
During the year Grade 7 MYP students must commit to:
At least 1 Service as Action experience (1 per semester is encouraged)
Meaningfully develop 1-2 learning outcomes.
Document the process using the Service As Action planner and the Managebac SA Portfolio.
Grade 8, 9 and 10
Student Requirements
Each semester, grades 8, 9 and 10 MYP students must commit to:
At least 1 service as action experience (long term and on-going).
Meaningfully develop 1-2 learning outcomes.
Document the process using the Service As Action planner and the Managebac SA Portfolio.
Program Requirments
By the end of the programme, G10 students must show meaningful progress in all 7 learning outcomes over the course of the programme (G7-10). A balanced approach is encouraged.
1. Service as Action Experience could be
Long-Term Service Experience
Make a sustained commitment to one project, participating in it on a regular basis for a long period of time
AND / OR
Few Shorter Service as Action Experiences
Participate in a few different service projects throughout the semester, such as volunteering in community events
2. Meaningfully Develop At Least 1-2 Learning Outcomes. No more then 2 per expereince.
Through participation in service, students are expected to develop 1- 2 of the following outcomes below.
Students will need to write about how they developed the outcome in their reflection.
