It is very important to use and maintain your SA portfolio in Managebac. To access your portfolio follow the steps below.
Open Managebac menu bar.
Select IB Manager
Select SA
2. Add SA Projects
Go to your Managebac SA Portfolio.
Click on “Add SA Activity”
Carefully add the project details.
Service as Action shows up on your report. Be sure to enter all details correctly.
3. Project Details (Stage 1 and 2 from the planner)
Enter the title (with grade level) and select the location. example title: Service Committee (G9)
Select the appropriate start and end dates.
example: semester activity Aug - Jan etc
Enter the supervisor.
Your advisor is your supervisor (unless stated otherwise).
Enter the description of the activity.
Students can copy this from the Service As Planner (Investigation).
Select 1 - 2 learning outcomes that you will focus on developing.
From the Service As Planner (Investigation).
Add the activity aim.
From the Service As Planner (Preparation).
Click on “Add SA Activity” when done.
4. Complete the Stage 3 (Action)
Once you have entered your SA project, you can add your evidence regarding the action in your Managebac portfolio.
Log onto ManageBac.
Select the SA tab.
Select your SA project, which should bring you to a different page.
Click on the "Reflections and Evidence" button.
Under the Journal Entry, you should copy in the 3 Action questions from your Service As Action planner.
Click "Add Entry"
5. Add Reflection & Evidence (Stage 4 and 5)
Once you have entered your SA project, you can add your reflection and evidence to your Managebac portfolio.
Log onto ManageBac.
Select the SA tab.
Select your SA project, which should bring you to a different page.
Click on the "Reflections and Evidence" button.
Under the Journal Entry, you should copy in the 4 Reflection questions from your Service As Action planner..
Click "Add Entry"
Now add in your evidence (pictures, emails..etc). The choice of Journal, File, Video, Website, or Photos will be dependent on what your evidence is.
You can view your advisors comments regarding your SA project.
Log onto ManageBac.
Select the SA tab.
Select your SA project, which should bring you to a different page.
Click on the "Summary" button.
Here, you can read your advisors comments and make adjustments to your project if needed.
