Survey Development
3.1
During our survey development, we were able to create a range of different question to include. But, we knew that we had to keep the survey fairly short, so that it is as effective as possible. We developed both qualitative and quantitative questions for the responders.
Formal Test Screening
3.1
After the show had been broadcasted, a few days later, we were able to conduct a formal test screening, with an audience fitting the age demographic. After the broadcast had been played, we asked the audience a short number of questions, these being: Did you like the show? Would you watch another episode? Would you want to work on the show in the future? Would you rather watch it on the format of YouTube or the college website? Would you recommend the show to your friends? The question responses were very positive, and helped inform us the honest thoughts of the audience. After the screening had finished, as well as the hands up questions, we asked the audience to complete a 15 question survey, which they could all access via a QR code on the screen after the broadcast. We were able to get a range of detailed responses, which were very useful with informing us on what the audience enjoyed, what they found relevant, and what they found entertaining. This survey also gave the selected audience the chance to express what went wrong, and where exactly we could improve.

Survey Results
Below is the results gathered from the survey of the show, after the screening. All of the audience provided informed answers, which will help us formulate conclusions about the show, and how we can improve next time.

Test Screening Conclusions
3.1
I believe the screening of the broadcast went well, as the audience seemed to remain entertained during the screening, and had overall enjoyed the contents of the show, based on the hands up results.
We were able to get a range of responses from our survey, which were all constructive, informing us what went well l, and what didn't. We were able to draw some useful conclusions as to what we need to improve for the product, and how we can engage the audience further, through modes of address. There were four main issues that were raised by the audience, these being: the condition of the audio throughout the broadcast, and the contrast in levels in segments. The use of different camera angles, in pre-recorded content and live sections. Show presence outside of broadcast. And choppiness between segments. These are issues in the show that definitely need to be improved, and it is good that the audience has made this clear. The audio and levels in the broadcast was certainly lacking, and this was mostly due to editing, as it was mostly the pre-recorded content that faced this issue. Next time, we must analyze the audio levels of each VT, and make sure they are running at a consistent basis. I agree that the camera angles in the show need to be improved. Next time, there has to be a wider range of angles used, so they more coverage can be displayed to the audience. One of the prime examples of this is the ‘face off’ segment. There was only one angle used throughout, but if we used a side angle shot during the game, it would have been more entertaining, and eye-catching to the audience. For presence outside of broadcast, what is meant by this is that the show has some sort of page outside of the show, and due to the survey results, it is clear that the audience would like a social media page for the show. This has been highly requested, and could be very beneficial for the engagement of the audience. Another room for improvement raised in the survey was the choppiness between segments. This is a range of things, such as possible technical issues, and how quickly stingers and graphics can be displayed on screen, as well as too many silent pauses for the hosts to speak. Personally, I believe that this is an issue that can only be improved with time and experience, creating more episodes and making hosts more comfortable is something that will take time, and the fluidity of segments will inevitably improve.
In conclusion, the responses given to us by the audience were very beneficial, and shown us the certain things we can do to improve the product, to ultimately enhance the experience for the audience themselves.
