Our Learning Programmes inspire reflections about sustainability, build connections between generations,
and encourage action towards a sustainable future.
At The Circular Classroom, we empower students and lifelong learners to become active changemakers in Singapore’s journey towards sustainability. Through our three-tiered programmes—1 - Understanding, 2 - Applying, and 3 - Leading—we guide our participants from awareness to action and to explore the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), SG Green Plan and Singapore’s efforts in becoming a zero-waste nation. Our hands-on approach complements classroom learning with real-world applications. Students can translate the concepts they study and drive meaningful environmental change. From reusing and repurposing school uniforms to adopting greener habits, we cultivate eco-conscious citizens who think critically, act responsibly, and inspire others. This is just the beginning: we hope to spark a lifelong passion for sustainability.
This exhibition introduces the SG Green Plan and Singapore’s goal to become a zero-waste nation. It highlights the importance of sustainable production & consumption and focuses on the environmental impact of textile waste, which has one of the lowest recycling rates in Singapore. School uniforms - if not reused, repurposed or recycled - add to the overall textile waste.

Our Values-in-Action Programmes provide a platform for students to demonstrate active citizenship in the whole-of-nation movement to advance Singapore’s national agenda on sustainable development. They enable students to take the lead in adopting a more sustainablle lifestyle through mindset change and hands-on action. Some of our ViA Programmes also offer the opportunity for intergenerational learning and are run in partnership with Active Ageing Centres.
