What is the difference between application, admission, and enrollment?

Application is the process of submitting the complete required documents necessary for the Admissions Committee to adequately evaluate and process your eligibility and goodness of fit to the Cebu Institute of Medicine. (see below for requirements).

Admission is the process of determining applicants who are qualified as a good fit for the program of medicine of the Cebu Institute of Medicine. These qualified candidates are informed of eligibility for eventual enrollment at the Cebu Institute of Medicine. This is a three-phase process:

a.    Phase 1 is the application phase where credentials and documents are evaluated for completeness and accuracy. Incomplete applications do not proceed to Phase 2.

b.    Phase 2 is the qualifying phase where all documents are evaluated, including a personal interview. It is in this phase that the applicant is deemed to be the right fit or not for the program of medicine.

c.       Phase 3 is the final phase. In this phase, all applications are deliberated as a cohort. This is where the goodness of fit of the candidate to Cebu Institute of Medicine is determined and a final decision regarding the application is made. It is in this phase that the application is deliberate as accepted for enrollment. This phase is done with the Admissions Committee sitting as a whole. The applicant is informed of his acceptance through an official letter from the Chairman of the admissions committee.

Enrollment is the process where qualified candidates have themselves actively registered to the program of medicine at Cebu Institute of Medicine, fulfilling all the requirements and documents for enrollment (see below for requirements).
