COVID VACCINE PROGRAMME for Young Carers aged 16+: Please read the email below sent out by Ms Heggarty.

Dear Sixth form and Year 11 Young Carers,

If you are receiving this email, either you or a parent / guardian have identified to us at school that you are a Young Carer, and you are aged 16 or over.

We wanted to make you aware that the Covid-19 vaccine has just become available to young carers aged 16 or 17, so this may make you eligible if you would like to take up the offer.

Attached is an information sheet from the NHS. This document contains a link to an online form which young carers can use to register their interest in receiving a vaccine.

A representative from the NHS or CCG will then be in touch to arrange an appointment with you directly, should you complete the form.

If you think there might be an issue with transport to take you to receive the vaccination, please let the NHS/CCG representative be aware of this.

If they are unable to support you with arrangements, please let me know and I can contact some-one on your behalf and see if there is any support.

If any of you have turned 18, you will need to 'register your interest' by either calling 119 or by contacting a lady called Katy Heard.
