President's Message

In a world characterized by rapid change, increasing interconnectedness, and complex challenges that transcend national borders, universities have an important responsibility to prepare students not only with academic knowledge, but also with the ability to understand different societies, engage with diverse perspectives, and contribute meaningfully to the world around them.

PGS reflects Chulalongkorn University’s commitment to providing an education that is both internationally oriented and firmly grounded in academic excellence. Its distinctive 2+2 structure enables students to spend their first two years at Chulalongkorn University before continuing their final two years at one of our partner universities abroad. Through this experience, students will encounter different academic traditions, cultures, and perspectives and develop the adaptability and understanding required for responsible global citizenship.

At Chulalongkorn University, however, we believe that a truly global education must remain connected to a sense of responsibility toward others. Knowledge and opportunity carry with them an obligation to serve. Whether our graduates eventually work in government, international organizations, business, civil society, academia, or other professions, we hope they will appreciate the importance of public service and be prepared to devote their abilities to improving the lives of others.

The University’s mission extends beyond preparing successful graduates. We seek to nurture individuals who understand that leadership requires responsibility, that privilege should be accompanied by service, and that meaningful contributions to society sometimes require personal sacrifice for the greater good.

I hope that PGS students will use the opportunities available to them to develop their intellectual abilities, broaden their understanding of the world, and become responsible global citizens committed to public service and the betterment of society.
