PGS is guided by three core values—Understanding, Vision, and Resolve—which underpin every aspect of the program.

 
These principles shape the curriculum, pedagogy, and community ethos, fostering graduates who are eager to learn, ethically grounded, resilient, and committed to serving the public.

Political, economic, social, and environmental phenomena in the contemporary world are deeply interconnected and constantly evolving at both domestic and global levels. Accordingly, PGS adopts an interdisciplinary and integrative approach to knowledge, combining rigorous theory with empirical evidence and academic study with direct experience across diverse international and cultural settings.

Political science education should therefore cultivate not merely knowledgeable graduates, but also critical thinkers, ethical leaders, and adaptable global citizens equipped to analyze complexity, engage constructively with difference, and contribute meaningfully to society in a rapidly changing world. 

To produce graduates with broad and deep knowledge and academic excellence in political science, public policy, global affairs, and society through integrated and interdisciplinary learning. Students develop the skills to seek out knowledge and to discuss, analyze, and synthesize political and social phenomena, enabling them to adapt and act confidently amid constant change. Graduates emerge as ethical leaders who value democracy, respect diversity, embrace global citizenship, and are prepared to serve the common good.

Students are able to analyze, synthesize, and apply social science concepts and theories to understand and address political, economic, and social problems effectively.
