Our Future Self programme allows you to develop essential skills such as teamwork, communication, public speaking, digital literacy and emotional intelligence.
Regardless of year group, you will have access to a wide range of resources with detailed information, advice and guidance about future careers. You will also receive specific support when making key decisions about GCSE options, A Levels, Higher Education and job opportunities.

Within Form time you will:
Start a personal review and a planning process, identifying your strengths, interests, qualities and ambitions. You will make links between these and employability.
Investigate the nature of careers and develop your aspirations for future career choice.
Explore the range of post 16 options in order to inform your KS4 choices.

During Activities Week you will undertake a week of Future Self activities that will include completing the Morrisby test and taking part in workshops that simulate assessment centre activities.

You will have an interview with a member of the Future Self team. The purpose of the interview is for you to gain advice about how A ‘Levels’ fit together, other institutions and also any future plans that you may have.
In addition, you are offered the opportunity to speak to an Independent Careers Advisor.

You will complete a work experience week in the final week of the year.

During your final year you can return to your Future Self advisor, but it is your Form Tutors and subject specialists that take on the role of ensuring that your applications are completed fully.

You will be invited to join the online CHS Community of Old Waconians, staff, and parents to develop your professional network.
