Poetry Club

Open to all years and to teachers too!

Every few days a poem will be released to members with a short introduction.

You have three options:

1) read it quietly by yourself and do nothing (but that one is the most boring!)

2) comment under the poem with your favourite line and why you like it

3) write your own poem using the creative prompt underneath the original poem. You can choose to send this to Ms Lewis (who has published poetry and can give you her opinion) and/or you can share it with the whole group under the post if you are feeling brave. Any poems you write will also be sent to Mrs Shand for the Waconian (with your permission).

If you want to write a poem off the topic given, you are also very welcome to submit that!

The club has already started but you can join at any time, and you can also submit poems or comments on any of the past poems. We can't wait to read your thoughts and poems!
