This could be a great time to get some sections completed for your D of E. In particular, you might want to complete one of the 3 month activities for your Bronze or Silver Award. There are many skills and physical activities (and also a few volunteering activities) that you could complete while following social distancing guidelines.
If you are in Year 9 and would like to do your D of E next year, you are able to start logging activities straight away.
If you are in Year 10 and have already completed your activities for Bronze, you could start logging your activities for Silver.
There are plenty of you in Years 11-13 who started your Bronze Award but never completed it. Now might be a good time to get those final sections signed off.
Dof E Activities
At any level you may have completed some of an activity in a particular section but haven't got the opportunity to complete it fully due to the lockdown. You are able to change the activity to one you can do at home. So you may, for example, have completed two months of an activity and by changing the activity you can fulfil the time requirement for that section.
Your assessor for the activity must not be a family member. If you would like one of the D of E team to assess the section for you, please do the following:
There are loads of suggestions on the Twitter page https://twitter.com/DofECHS and on Google Classroom (code:72grju3).
If you have an assessor who is not a family member, then they can upload an assessors report directly to https://edofe.org/Assessor . They will need your participant number, which can be found on eDofE.
