Service Projects

303 newborns received layettes, which included infant clothing, socks, diapers, bottles, wipes, blankets and more. We have worked with the hospitals and area agencies since 1957, providing these wonderful gifts for babies.

The Clothing Center provided over 2000 children new clothing, including uniform pants, shirts, coats, hats, gloves, socks, and underwear, this year.

Members of the infant bereavement program sew, knit and crochet items to be distributed to local hospitals as requested. The members provide blankets, gowns, pockets, diapers, bonnets, small stuffed animals and books.

Literacy activities through partnerships with United Way of Summit County and Akron Public Schools. Read to children on Dr. Seuss’s Birthday, distribute school supplies at Back-pack Adventure, tutoring, and Read to me Cards, created by National Christ Child Society to encourage early literacy activities included in our layettes.
