Cotton Judging Team

Chowchilla FFA’s Cotton Judging Team gives students the chance to learn the science and skill behind cotton production. Members study and evaluate cotton plants, seeds, and lint while developing decision-making and reasoning skills. Competing in contests across the state, the team builds knowledge of one of California’s leading crops while gaining valuable experience in teamwork, agriculture, and critical thinking.

Pacheco Cotton Contest

Congratulations to our Cotton A and B teams at Pacheco! We brought home 1st High Team in Bolls!

Faith Goncalves - 4th place High in Bolls

Grant Donegan - 3rd place high in Bolls and 2nd in Seeds.

El Domante Cotton Contest

Congratulations to our A and B teams at El Domante Cotton Contest! Team A placed 14th overall. Great job to both teams for their hard work and dedication.

Corcoran Cotton Contest

Team B held it down at Corcoran! As a team, they earned: 4th in Plants & Test, 5th in Bolls

6th in Seeds & Overall, 7th in Lint.

Miguel - 13th in Bolls, 18th in Plants, and 25th Overall

Daniel - 17th in Bolls, 16th in Seeds, 8th in Lint, 11th in Plants, and 15th Overall
