Our CDE and LDE teams have had much success in the previous years. Whether you are a first time member or one who wishes to be more involved, there is a team for you. We hope you will find the team that best suits your passion and give it a try!
This team is coached by the advisor, Ms.Barney. Students will judge a class of seeds,bolls,lint, and plants. Students will then give a set of reasons to a judge supporting their placement. They will also be required to take a knowledge test. Students will be scored both individually and as a team.
Tara Davis & Terianne Silveria are the coaches and Ms. Linderholm is the advisor. Students will be shown a class of dairy cattle to evaluate. Students will then give a set of reasons. Students will be scored both individually and as a team.
Ms. Lord is the advisor. Students will learn the aims, purposes, history, & structure of FFA and demonstrate their knowledge through a written test.
This team is coached and advised by Ms. Lord. Individuals will judge horses based on conformation, breed standards, pattern classes and give oral reasons. Students will be scored both individually and as a team.
This LDE is coached and advised by Ms. Barney. In this competition, students will practice answers common interview questions, analyze responses to interview questions, and determine ways to improve their answers. Students will be scored individually.
This team is coached and advised by Ms. Perez. Individuals will judge different types of beef cattle, pigs, sheep, and goats based on breeding or market priorities and give oral reasons. Students will be scored both individually and as a team.
This team is coached by both Mr. Cruz and Ms. Barney. Students will take a test on different marketing cooperatives. The students will learn about cooperatives and how they run. Students will be scored both individually and as a team.
This is coached by Ms. Barney. Students learn how to evaluate different varieties of citrus based on quality, condition, and market standards. Team members practice skills like grading fruit, identifying defects, and testing knowledge with written exams.
This CDE is coached by Ms. Barney. Students gain real-world knowledge of finance and banking. Team members practice skills such as handling transactions, completing loan applications, conducting interviews, and solving customer service scenarios.
Coached by Ms. Barney. This teaches members how to evaluate soil types, land capability, and conservation practice. Students learn how soil affects farming, building, and land use, while developing real-world skills in agriculture.
