Shanna Bowman, PhD

Dr. Shanna Bowman is an assistant professor in the Biology Department at Linfield University, a primarily undergraduate and emerging Hispanic Serving Institution in McMinnville, OR. Dr. Bowman teaches Principles of Biology, Molecular Cell Biology, and Fundamentals of Neuroscience. Dr. Bowman conducts research projects with students in her course laboratories and is always working on new ways to help students improve their written and verbal communication skills. She works with undergraduates in the laboratory, researching the signaling pathways which control skin pigmentation. Her research approaches include live cell fluorescence microscopy, molecular genetics, and biochemistry.
