If an employee has an injury that is life, limb, or eyesight threatening, they are authorized to seek Emergency Treatment at the nearest ER. All other injuries must be assessed by the Triage Nurse and their recommendations followed.

Even if the injury warrants an ER Room visit, the Building Administrator and/or nurse are still responsible for providing all required forms for this visit. Copies of these forms should immediately be provided to HR.

Care Instructions including medical treatment recommendations through the Triage Nurse DOES NOT guarantee acceptance of the claim as a workers compensation injury. Gallagher will make that determination based on whether the injury is work related.
