Our plan for the energy conservation group for this project, is that we are going to go to S&S Produce Grocery Store to give out bookmarks that have ways on how to conserve energy. We are also going to send 3 people from our group to go to a teachers' staff meeting to give a presentation on how to conserve energy in their classroom and also give out bookmarks. We plan to tell the teachers that we are going to send them a survey about their energy conservation to see were they are in conservation in there classroom and in there community. Then, we were going to make our part of the website.

Our group wrote down a list of ways teachers could conserve energy in the classroom on one side and conserve more energy at home and in the world. We colored each bookmark with Energy Conservation themes. We then copied them on paper to hand out to teachers at there teacher meeting and at S&S produce to educate the community.

On Tuesday February 4th. Quinn, Jordan and my self will be visiting the monthly Teacher meeting to present to them information on Conserving Energy, in there classroom and at home. Hoping to educate them on how to stop Climate Change in Butte County. I feel that this information is very important for all of us to know. Each teacher will be given a Bookmark and emailed a survey to take about energy conservation in the classroom. When they complete and send back the survey they will be entered into a drawing to win a solar phone charger.
What we have learned is how the teachers save energy at Sierra View! The teachers that have responded to are survey said “I have kids help me remember to turn off the lights, Chromebooks and monitors. The most answer on all of the survey was, yes, but some of the answers said NO. We want to make every answer on the survey a YES.

Some of the students from Ms. Akimoto's class went to a locally owned store called S & S produce here in Chico. We started out by greeting customers and asking them for a minute of there time. We introduced ourselfs and explained our Cal Water project and told them how important our water is, and what will happen in the future due to climate change. We then asked them for there email so we can email them a survey about some of their habits around the environment. We said thank you by giving them a bookmark and Chico bag. It was so much fun and people were really nice.
