Our carbon footprint is something very serious that is causing climate change in our generation. If we don’t stop it, climate change will get worse and worse every minute. There are many ways you can reduce it and one of them is, biking, walking, skateboarding, more, and driving less. Gas powered cars give off lots of bad gas while driving them from the tailpipe. Another way is to conserve and protect our waterways. Reducing our water usage is essential. There is only so much water on Earth and we can’t make more of it. It is also good to eat more seasonally, locally and to eat more plants. Try to buy the majority of your food from local produce stores. It takes lots of energy to ship food which is bad for our carbon footprint. Lastly, use sustainable, clean energy. The United States of America gets 81 percent of its energy from oil, coal, and natural gas. These fuels provide us with energy. Although they are all very limited and just the transportation alone can cause air pollution. These are not all of the things that cause it and all of the ways you can help it, there are many more. But all of these things are simple and very effective.

When we use plastic we are creating carbon footprint, and carbon footprint is what is creating climate change/global warming. We don't want to do that because global warming is what we have been telling you to stop by reducing our carbon footprint.
Reusable is so much better for the environment.Estimates show that one 500-milliliter (0.53 quart) plastic bottle of water has a total carbon footprint equal to 82.8 grams (about 3 ounces) of carbon dioxide.
You can save 2,400 pounds of carbon dioxide a year by just recycling half of the garbage in your house!

The CO2 footprint of tap water comes from pumping it up from the ground or surface water, treating it for drinking and pumping it into the water pipes to reach the consumer. Multiple comparison studies have shown that the carbon footprint of tap water is about 1/300 or 1/1000 compared to bottled water.
The carbon emissions from the energy required to move, treat and heat water in the U.S. is approximately 290 million metric tons a year. This is roughly equal to the combined greenhouse gas emissions of 11 states: Alaska, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Maine, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, Oregon, Rhode Island and Vermont.

Every year, 9 million tons of plastic trash floats into the ocean. That equals about 350 Statues of Liberty.
