News Sources for Middle School Students
Yes, they would rather "just Google it!" Navigating through a database or a news site takes more time and has a learning curve. But encouraging your kids to seek reliable and credible sources first rather than whatever "cool facts" they get with a quick search is worth the effort!
Research Databases
These are useful for a wide range of projects and assignments and are FREE to use! Need help? Email Mrs. Meester! ameester@chesschristian.com
InfOhio is a collection of databases for students, organized by grade level. These offer excellent access to magazine articles, videos. and ebooks that are recognized as credible sources to use for school. Filters help to ensure that such access is as age-appropriate and safe as possible, but as with any online resources, parent supervision is highly recommended. Also, the content represents a wide variety of opinions and beliefs. Use these resources as an opportunity to filter all information through a biblical worldview.
