Google has an AWESOME online program for teaching kids about digital citizenship. You may want to use it throughout the school year as a supplemental classroom activity. https://beinternetawesome.withgoogle.com/en_us
Create a bulletin board or decorate your door contest on important Internet safety issues.
Host a “pep rally” or assembly for Digital Citizenship Week. Students can present skits, original songs, panel discussions, etc. that reflect how to be a good digital citizen.
Have the library promote books and media about digital citizenship.
Plan a parent night or PTO meeting to educate parents about Internet safety issues. Use resources from one of these sites.
Have students create a short presentation that describes their choice of a digital citizenship topic. This could be a digital video, PowerPoint presentation, photo story, Glog, Prezi, wiki, Canva, etc.
Print and use this poster for classrooms, and hallways as a guide to becoming a responsible digital citizen.
