When can I register for the 2025-2026 school year ?
The registration process will start on April 19, 2025. Please refer to the "Join Online Classes" section for detailed information.
Which dates will the school be closed for holiday ?
Please refer to SCHOOL CALENDAR section for the whole school year's schedule.
What is the online class time on Saturday ?
Both morning and afternoon class time are available, detailed information will be provided during registration process.
How to attend the online class session on Saturday after registration ?
At beginning of each school year, CHELP will email the online class registration link to the gmail address you provided on the registration form. After registration, you will receive a confirmation email with the class link from Zoom.US. The students would just have to click on the class link in the confirmation email to join class each Saturday. The same class link in the confirmation email will be used for the whole school year..
Please note, CHELP does not have copy of your confirmation email with the class link. Please safe keep and reuse for every Saturday class. Please refer to "Online class guidelines" for detailed information.
What email address I need to use to sign up for online classes, and to receive classwork and/or homework ?
You must use valid gmail address to sign up for online classes, and to receive classwork and/or homework. Must access the work docs using the same gmail address which receive the work. Can not use school board's email address, because school board's email address domain disallows file share, and you would not able to access the homework received.
Why do I receive multiple emails for the online class link ?
The online class link is setup one per course, so if you are attending multiple courses, then you will receive multiple emails, one per each course.
For example, you will receive one email with a link for 9:30am Math class, one email with a link for 10:30am English class.
Why do I only receive one email for the first class, but not after ?
After registered with Zoom, Zoom will send you a class link in a confirmation email. The same class link in the confirmation email from Zoom.US will be used to attend classes every Saturday until end of school year.
I did not receive the email for the online class link invite and/or the homework ?
Please check to ensure you have provided correct/valid gmail address to CHELP, and also check your junk/spam/trash email folders, and look for emails from no-reply@chelpschool.com.
What if I want to change the student's email address after ?
Please send your request to request@chelpschool.com. This may take 3 days for the update to take place.
CHELP is not responsible for any missed class or missed homework.
Why do I have to join the online class with my full name as registered with CHELP ?
This is for security and privacy reason, so CHELP can control and ensure no uninvited person joins the class. Teacher will NOT allowed anyone with name not on the CHELP student's class list to join the class.
I click on the online class link, but there is no one there ?
The link is set up for specific time on Saturday only.
When you join the class at scheduled time, you will be put in a waiting area online, to wait for the teacher (host) to arrive to allow you in.
Please ensure the correct class link is used.
Why I got muted (speaker turn off) or removed from the online class session ?
Teacher has the right to mute (turn off) the speaker, or turn off the video, or remove any student (and parent) from class immediately without notice, especially if the student or parent (or their background) are being disruptive, or not following the teacher’s instructions, or not dressed appropriately.
Can I change to attend different class time ?
The class time is assigned based on the information on your original registration form.
If you want to make changes, please send your request to request@chelpschool.com email address. We will review and advise if it is possible to change.
Can I print the classwork and/or homework ?
Yes, all material can be print from Google form. Please refer to "Online class guidelines" for detailed info.
Can I get printed copy of the classwork and homework ?
To avoid physical contact and contamination, no paper version of the classwork and homework will be provided.
If the student has missed the online class, is make-up class available ?
As per existing CHELP school rules, since we are not private tutoring, there is no make-up class available if student missed the class.
Why are the online class sessions being recorded ?
All sessions will be recorded for CHELP’s security, control, and monitoring purposes only.
This is to ensure there are no misuse, no uninvited person attend the class, assist in problem investigation, and the class has been operated as per CHELP’s guidelines.
The video will be destroyed after a period of time.
Why I cannot have access to the video of the recorded online class afterward ?
Since the video will show all the students attending the session, we cannot provide the video copy of the online class session, due to privacy issue.
How do I get help if I have a problem with the online classes ?
Please send email to request@chelpschool.com. We will response as soon as we can, but delay may occur depending on the volume of requests.
We will not be able to help with your hardware equipment or software related issues.
What if I having problem understanding the homework material after the online class session ?
Please contact your teacher thru google classroom or email, which will be provided by the teacher. Also upon teacher's recommendation (only), tutor session will be arranged to provide additional help.
Can I cancel and get refund for the school year ?
As per school rules, there is no refund after registration. The charge for cancellation after registration is 40% of the registered course’s annual fee. Also must provide 2 weeks notice.
Why am I only able to send inquiry by text message to the CHELP’s phone number ?
Due to high volume of scam calls, we can only accept phone inquiry through text message.
