This video will cover basic editing in Timeline Mode in WeVideo. People looking for basic video editing tools will find most of what they need in Storyboard mode.
After creating a new project you will want to make sure you are in TImeline Mode. To do this follow the steps below.
From your new project click on the 3 horizontal lines on the top left side of the screen to bring up some options.
Click on the "Settings" option > Select "Timeline" and save changes.
Now you are ready to edit your project using the Timeline mode.
The top 2/3 of your screen is where you will navigate to media and access the editing features.

Themes
Clicking on the Theme button in the top toolbar allows you to choose from many pre-loaded themes.
These themes help guide your design of your project and helps you create a unique video.
Explore the themes and find one that fits the project you have planned.
Themes often come with an appropriate title frame and music to go with the project.
Here you are able to search and use free to use media for your project.
You will find Videos, photos, sound effects, music, and overlays.
Here is where you access the media that you have uploaded. Or you are able to import, record, or narrate media.
Here you can find and add many types of text assets to your project. Could be a title screen, static text, or callout.

Here you can explore and use transitions that create a unique fun switch between media assets.
If you are layering your media you can use backgrounds to create a unique backdrop to your text or media.
As you add media tiles to the timeline you will be able to move them around, change the length of the asset, change some of the
Clicking on the "pencil" icon will bring up several options to adjust the media asset. Below is a breakdown of the options.
On the far right of the timeline are your layers. The top layer is the top layer. From here you can click on the + to add Audio or Video layers.
The 3 horizontal dots give more options for the layer.
Sliding the volume meter adjust the output levels.
Double clicking on the layer title allows you to change the name.
Clicking on a asset brings up several options. Clicking on the pencil brings up options for the media.
FX adds digital effects to the asset.
The volume changes the audio output level.
This window will allow you to create text to go along with your media. You are able to change the location, size, and font style.
Here you are able to change the orientation of the assets, change it size, and blur the background (This is handy for people that record video in the wrong format)
Here you are able to change the Audio level and apt for a fade in/out.
Here you are able to change the several color features of the media. If you are unhappy with the result click on the reset icon.
Here you are able to use the software to drop a color and create a Green screen effect.
Here you can create an effect of the asset moving across the screen or zooming in/out of a photo.
This allows you to change the speed (faster/slower) of a video and where the speed change takes place.
