Basic Video editing features!
This will cover basic editing in Storyboard Mode in WeVideo. People looking for basic video editing tools will find most of what they need in Storyboard mode.
This video will walk you through the basics of video editing in Storyboard Mode
After creating a new project you will want to make sure you are in Storyboard Mode. To do this follow the steps below.
From your new project click on the 3 horizontal lines on the top left side of the screen to bring up some options.
Click on the "Settings" option > Select "Storyboard" and save changes.
Now you are ready to edit your project using the Storyboard mode.
You will notice the bottom portion of the screen will change. This is where you will drag and drop your media tiles, add music, narrate your project, and make edits to media.
Clicking on the green highlighted icon allows you to choose from many pre-loaded themes.
These themes help guide your design of your project and helps you create a unique video.
Explore the themes and find one that fits the project you have planned.
Themes often come with an appropriate title frame and music to go with the project.
Clicking on the red highlighted icon allows you to explore "Free Music", "Sound Effects", and "Premium Sounds" to your project.
Clicking on the blue highlighted icon allows you to easily record your voice over your video.
As you add media tiles to the timeline you will be able to move them around, change the length of the asset, and change some of the media qualities.
Clicking on the "pencil" icon will bring up several options to adjust the media asset. Below is a breakdown of the options.
This window will allow you to create text to go along with your media. You are able to change the location, size, and font style.
Here you are able to change the orientation of the assets, change it size, and blur the background (This is handy for people that record video in the wrong format)
Here you can create an effect of the asset moving across the screen or zooming in/out of a photo.
This allows you to change the speed (faster/slower) of a video and where the speed change takes place.
Now its time for you to get creative. Its best to have a vision of what you are looking to make. There really are so many possibilities.
