The video below gives a basic overview of WeVideo navigation, how to get started, and best practices.
The forst thing you will see after logging in is the "DASHBOARD"
This is the home screen, if you are lost or confused you can always click on Dashboard to bring you back here.
To create a new project, from the Dashboard tab select a template or project type.
WeVideo can help you easily create several styles of projects. Add a name to your project and your new project will appear in your project folder list.
Click on the Video icon to create a new video project.
From here you will have access to your Media Library where you can create media or use pre-loaded content. Media can be pictures, videos, or audio of many formats.
Preview window shows what the project will look like.
The Timeline tracks area is where you can manipulate and edit the video sequences and other assets you bring in.
Before going to far into editing your project be sure to change the name so that it is something you will recognize later on.
By clicking the 3 horizontal lines on the top left of your screen you will get many options to work with in WeVideo.
Here is where you can access "Storyboard Mode" or "Timeline Mode" editing features.
Here is where you are able to bring in your own media from an external source. WeVideo is capable of bringing media in from you Google Drive, thumb-drive, local drive, or other sources. By clicking on the "Import" button you will be able to connect to Google Drive or browser your computer for media. WeVideo can import video, images, and sound files.
Clicking "Record" allows you to record your screen, your face/webcam, or a combination of the 2.
This video shows you how to use the Record feature in WeVideo.
By clicking "Narrate" you will be able to record your voice over your presentation.
Now we are ready to start editing and getting creative.
For New users go onto Part 3 and learn about basic editing in the Storyboard mode!
If you are an experienced video editor then move onto Part 4 and learn about the more advanced features in Timeline Editing Mode.
