Role Summary
The Second-Grade Safety Poster Coordinator will oversee the preparation, distribution, collection, organization, transportation, and display of community-safety posters created by second-grade Changemakers.
The Changemakers Program Chair will determine the approved safety topics, create the instructions, purchase supplies, establish deadlines, and manage family communications.
Detailed Responsibilities
Participate in the coordinator kickoff.
Review the approved safety topics, instructions, and timeline.
Receive supplies and project materials.
Assemble and label poster kits.
Coordinate kit distribution.
Answer basic questions about materials, approved topics, and return procedures.
Refer requests for topic or project changes to the Changemakers Chair.
Collect completed posters by the deadline.
Track and organize submissions.
Review posters for missing names or labels without altering student work.
Transport the posters and display materials to the event.
Arrange the second-grade portion of the gallery.
Pack and organize posters after the event.
Proposed Timeline
Sept. 23–30: Coordinator registration
Oct. 1-2: Virtual coordinator kickoff (30 min)
Exact meeting time will be coordinated based on selected coordinators’ availability. Individual kickoff sessions may be scheduled if needed.
By Oct. 2: Receive final topics, instructions, and supplies
Oct. 3 or 4: Assemble poster kits
Oct. 5–6: Distribute kits
Oct. 9–16: Fall Break
Oct. 20: Collect completed posters
Oct. 21: Transport, display, and pack the posters
