Another Amazing Year - Thank You!

Dear Changemakers Families - as we wrap up another incredible year of Changemakers, I simply want to say, "thank you."

A Year of Impact

This year, our scholars showed what it means to lead with kindness, serve with purpose, and make a difference in both our school and community. Together, our scholars contributed more than 800 hours of service — an incredible reflection of the heart, leadership, compassion, and dedication of our students and families. None of this would have been possible without you - THANK YOU!

Thank You, Families

Thank you for encouraging your children to serve — whether your family participated in one project or many. Every hour, donation, ride, volunteer moment, and act of support helped strengthen a program centered around compassion, leadership, and community impact.

Growth Beyond Service Hours

One of the most meaningful parts of this year was watching our students grow — not just through service projects, but through experiences that helped shape compassion, leadership, responsibility, and community awareness. Changemakers has always been about more than completing projects; it is about helping grow a generation of young leaders who understand the value of kindness, service, and making a difference.

A Special Thank You

I would also like to extend a special thank you to our Changemakers Family Leadership Council and everyone who stepped in throughout the year to volunteer, lead projects, lend a hand, and support wherever needed. Your partnership, flexibility, and willingness to help made this year possible.

Looking Ahead

Over the summer, I’ll be working on our annual Changemakers Impact Report — an abbreviated version of last year’s — highlighting the service, growth, and accomplishments of our scholars. I hope to release it around the start of the new school year as enrollment for Changemakers reopens.

2026-2027 Changemakers

Additional information regarding registration, timelines, and program updates will be shared around the start of next school year. Please note that all interested students will need to reapply for the upcoming year, as there will NOT be priority registration. I truly hope many of our returning Collegiate Prep families will join us again for another meaningful year of service and leadership. Keep an eye on our website for updates beginning early August - there will be limited spots. 

To Our 5th Grade Changemakers

To our graduating 5th grade Changemakers — congratulations! We are incredibly proud of each of you and wish you continued success as you move forward in your academic journey. Continue leading with kindness, growing with purpose, serving others, and believing in the difference you can make in the world. Once a Changemaker, always a Changemaker.

Continuing the Journey

For our Changemakers continuing on to Academy next year — while nothing has been formally finalized — there may POSSIBLY be something in the works to continue a version of the Changemakers program at the next level (no promises... just hope for now ). We encourage you to stay connected to Academy’s PTSA for future updates and announcements. 

Keeping the Mission Going

For those venturing on to other schools, organizations, or community groups, we encourage you to continue the spirit of service and leadership wherever you go. We would love to see students and families continue the impact by creating their own version of Changemakers within their new communities. Check out our "Start a Changemakers Group" page of our website for helpful info!
