Our service framework blends structured, year-long, and flexible opportunities that keep scholars meaningfully engaged.
Core Projects are monthly events—such as food drives and park cleanups—with a goal of each scholar completing at least four per year.
For 2025–26, our Signature Project will focus on deeper community connection. We are exploring a potential partnership with a local nursing home to provide year-long support through family “adoptions” and group events like holiday parties and bingo nights.
Pop-Up Projects add flexibility, allowing us to meet special needs and unique opportunities, from t-shirt design contests to advocacy campaigns and holiday card drives.
Changemakers service projects are built around three focus areas that guide how our scholars learn, lead, and make an impact in their community:
Changemakers care for Longhorn Park four times a year as part of our adoption agreement with the City, showing pride in protecting spaces where families gather.
By delivering handmade Valentine’s cards to nursing home residents, Changemakers built connections that spread joy across generations.
Through the “Bringing Books to Life Through Art” project, Changemakers used creativity to inspire peers to discover the joy of reading on National Reading Day.
This year, Changemakers continues our adoption of Longhorn Park and expands our impact with the new adoption of Calf Pasture Park. With four cleanups each year—plus ongoing care at Collegiate Prep—our scholars and families work together to protect and beautify the spaces where we learn, play, and connect.
We invite other schools, community groups, and families to join us in keeping Cedar Hill clean by partnering with the City through its 'Adopt Cedar Hill' Program. Click here to learn how you can adopt a park, trail, or street and make a difference, too!
