Welcome to the Changemakers Project Hub! This is your family’s one-stop shop for everything related to each service project.
Here you’ll find project details and instructions, registration links with shift sign-ups, and helpful tips to prepare your scholar. After each project, you can also upload photos and memories and complete a short reflection activity.
We encourage all Changemaker families to use this hub as your go-to resource. It’s designed to make participating simple, fun, and meaningful—so your scholar can focus on serving, learning, and leading with kindness.

Want to earn MORE & represent Changemakers in a BIG way? - 1 service hour
Students can earn an additional service hour by heading back to Traphene Hickman Library’s Signature Park after cleanup (starting at 10:30 AM)—but this is about more than just time…This is our chance to show up strong as Changemakers 💙
We encourage all Changemakers to join together as a group to represent the impact we’re making in our community and show appreciation and support for our city leaders, including the Mayor!
After cleanup, stay and enjoy:
Vendor booths and sustainability learning
Hands-on activities (like seed ball making!)
Library scavenger hunt with prizes
Special presentations from the Mayor
Kona Ice for the first 200 volunteers
Supporting Unhoused Children in Our Community
Project Lead: Helsa Thompson
Why This Project Matters
Every child deserves to feel celebrated on their birthday — no matter where they call home. Through our Birthday in a Bag project, the Changemakers will partner with The Birthday Project to bring joy, dignity, and love to unhoused children in our community.
Through this supply drive, our Changemakers will gather and donate items to The Birthday Project to help them continue to bring joy to homeless children on their birthday. Your family's generosity makes a real difference.

Watch the short video “The Birthday Party Project: The Power of a Birthday” together and talk about how your Changemaker’s participation is bringing joy to others. 💗
