Springboard Scrimmages are essentially virtual one-round long competitions that usually happen on Tuesdays or Thursdays around 7:00pm. They will either occur live (meaning you must do them virtually at home) or asynchronously (meaning you must record your speech in advance and send it to Ms. Vaughn to submit) on Tabroom. Debate will almost never be asynchronous. In order to compete in live competitions, you MUST do at least one scrimmage in advance. Scrimmages will earn you points under the NSDA and you can use the feedback from judges to improve, making for an amazing way to gain experience. We can only have five entries for each judge that we can provide, so be mindful that if you sign up for multiple, you may not be entered into all of them. The sign-up sheet is linked below with dates and more info. Thanks!
*Live Scrimmages include everything but Declamation
Asynchronous Scrimmages include everything but Extemporaneous Speaking
None of the scrimmages have Impromptu*
