As usual, with anything related to technology, I often go way overboard.
There's extremely reliable, high speed whole house wi-fi, powered by StarLink satellite. Downlink is quite respectable, but uplink can sometimes be challenging.Â
The guest network is MantisGuest. Ask me for the guest password.
To get into the Monterey Dunes Colony, you must have a key to get past the main gate. I will give you a ButteryflyMX key during your stay. The front door has a PIN entry. If someone is at the gate, please let them know you're staying with us at our unit #, then they'll either open the gate for you or you can scan your QR code to open the gate.
There's a giant 49" 5k monitor in the downstairs ensuite. It's connected to a high quality meeting speaker, DSLR video camera, and two lights (or you can open the window). All of this is connected to a single USB-C connector you can plug into any Windows, Mac, or Chromebook.
If that's too much monitor for you, and you just need an extra 16" 2.5K screen, there's one under the computer desk in the living room.
There are cameras in the doorbell, facing the back patio door from the dining room, watching the boardwalk outside, watching the interior of the garage, watching the downstairs hallway, and one facing the living room. If anyone else besides us is staying, we can disable any of the indoor ones you'd like. Generally, I will disable the hallway and living room cameras. You can tell which cameras are enabled by the little light that is on. No light, then it's off.
There's a Nest Audio Google smart speaker in the kitchen. There's also a large grey blue Bang & Olufsen portable Bluetooth speaker available in the dining room. Feel free to pair it or the even smaller black B&O speaker to your phone.
There are USB-A and USB-C chargers throughout the house, the main charging station is at the table in the living room. For EV charging see Misc.
Every TV has Roku on it. Not all of them are logged in because we mostly only use the TV in the Living Room and the one in the loft.
