Getting in and out

The motion sensor patio light in the front courtyard has a high mounted sensor and it's 4 steps above ground level, so you may need to wave your hands as you approach for it to see you. It only works when it's dark out.

The door bolt is finicky. While outside and locking or unlocking the door, you must pull the door towards you while the smart lock is trying to move the bolt.

• When unlocking the front door, enter the PIN, then after pressing the bottom button, keep pulling the door towards you until the door is fully unlocked.

• When locking the front door, please pull the door towards you after pressing the bottom button (you don't need to enter the PIN to lock the door). Keep pulling the door until the bolt fully extends. After locking, please check that the door is fully locked.

Supplies and Cleaning

There are lots of extra supplies in the cleaning supply closet at the front (under the stairs) and in the first closet on the left in the MBR. You should be able to find tissues, paper towels, trash bags, even hotel-like bars of soap and shampoo (in the MBR supply closet). Extra sponges and hand dishwashing liquid are under the sink.

There's a Dyson v15 cordless vacuum in the downstairs ensuite. Attachments for floor/carpet/etc are in the cleaning closet under the stairs.

We have front loading Samsung washer and dryers on pedestals. We use pacs, with extras in the pedestals.

Using the Samsung Clothes Dryer

The auto dry cycle is a little finicky and may stop before your clothes are dry. I tend to use the timed dry. One regular sized load is approximately 40min of dryer time

Rules (or I get fined)

No pets. Stay on the board walks. Don't build forts on the beach. No open fires anywhere, on the beach or on the courtyard. Please do not use our fireplace. If you're cold, please use the floor heaters. Only park in designated spaces.

Groceries and Markets

Pezzini Farms is very close and has overpriced groceries such as eggs, bacon, ham, etc if you absolutely need it and don't want to drive to Marina. There are also Farmer's Markets with lots of (usually inexpensive) local produce. We like Thistle Hut Grocery and Farm Fresh Produce Moss Landing.

EV Charging

L2 Electric Vehicle charging is available at the community center. It's paid charging. I have no charging capability at the house or the garage.

Parking

Parking is available in the garage, in the spot labeled with our unit #, and in any spot labeled Guest. There are two Guest spots right next to ours.

Recycling and Compost

Unfortunately, this isn't the most convenient. Compost is available near the EV charger at the Community Center. Recycling is available at the Recycling Center at the entry to the Community Center. I will not know if you choose to throw out your recyclables, but you will!
