Technology Information

Electronic Devices

  • Each student in grades 6 -12 will be issued a chromebook before school starts if they do not already have an assigned chromebook in their possession from the 2019-2020 school year.

  • Each student in grades K-5 will be assigned chromebooks to use in the classroom and will be expected to bring them back and forth between home and to school every day. Chromebook carts exist in each homeroom to charge and store chromebooks when they are not in use during school hours. A second charger will be sent home that can be used to charge devices when they are home. Students do not need to bring the charger issued to them back and forth between home and to school every day.

  • All students who submitted their remote learning election form by August 7 will receive instructions for picking up a chromebook and charger before August 31.

  • Students in grades K-5 submitting forms after this date may need to begin school using their own devices to allow time for technology to procure and setup devices for at home use.

  • Insurance may be purchased for any District issued Chromebook. Insurance information can be found on the Technology Handbook and must be paid for using Payforit before the device is picked up or Sept 1, whichever comes first. Insurance is optional however if a parent does not opt for insurance and a device is damaged parents will be responsible for the cost for repairs.

Technology Needs

  • All students will need an internet connection. Households with more than one student, should be prepared to support multiple live-streamed sessions.

  • Students needing technology support should complete the Student Help Desk Form.
