Many office workers struggle to maintain healthy habits due to long hours at a desk, irregular eating patterns, and lack of physical activity. This can lead to decreased energy, poor productivity, and long-term health issues. Despite the awareness of these challenges, many workers lack the tools and knowledge to assess their current habits and make lasting changes.
The purpose of this training is to empower office workers aged 18-65 to take control of their health by evaluating their current habits and creating a personalized wellness plan. By the end of the training, participants will be able to identify key habits that promote well-being, outline the impact of unhealthy behaviors, and develop a practical meal plan based on MyPlate.gov guidelines to help sustain energy and focus throughout their workday.
We created a website with a Google Slides presentation embedded that integrates completion badges and virtual activities to promote a healthy lifestyle. This instructional material will provide a comprehensive overview of the importance of a balanced diet, physical activity, and mental health. The site includes:
a pre-assessment to determine baseline health habits utilizing Google Forms.
interactive Google Slides to educate and inform employees on each module topic.
concludes with badges earned to indicate completion, which can be redeemed for reward items.
We uses the PIE instructional design model to organize the learning experience. The planning involved team members sharing their expertise in technology-based learning while incorporating digital based tasks. Each team member contributed to the development, design, and implementation of the digital badge structure and outcome. Additionally, each team member contributed to the design and implementation of the pre-assessment via Google Forms.
The entire learning experience is a culmination of comprehensive, technology-based design with contribution from all team members to achieve the healthy living objective.
