Graduation Project for Incoming 9th Graders
Members of our Student Advisory Board and School Improvement Team created a revised Graduation Project that will begin with the incoming 9th grade class starting this academic year. Students will immerse themselves in a project of high interest related to the essential theme: What inspires you? The new project ensures students find meaning and purpose in what they produce. We look forward to introducing our new Graduation Project to this year’s freshman class during advisories.
Looking Back
US NEWS & WORLD REPORT RANKINGS
We would like to share the good news that Chariho High School has been ranked as a top 10 high school in Rhode Island by the US News & World Report. This is a great honor for our school and a testament to our teachers, students, staff, and community. More information can be found in the Boston Globe article HERE or at the US News link HERE. Congratulations to all!
9th Grade
Summer Tours
This summer we welcomed incoming 9th grade students to Chariho Regional High School with small-group, personalized tours. Over 200 students met the Principal and Assistant Principal and toured the building with members of our Student Advisory Board, Hospitality students, and Senior Class Council leaders.
Incoming 9th Grade Panel Presentation
For the first time, a student-led panel met with the entire 8th grade class and shared a presentation on the “Top 10 Things I Wish I Knew Before Coming to CHS”. During this presentation, our high students answered 8th grader’s questions related to the transition to 9th grade.
