Kent State University Creative Coding Summer Workshop

June 12 & 13 from 1-5 p.m.

The School of Emerging Media and Technology at Kent State University is holding a FREE Creative Coding Summer Workshop for High School Students on June 12th and June 13th from 1 to 5 pm. 

High school students with an interest in coding and interactive design are invited to a two-afternoon, hands-on workshop hosted at the Kent State University Kent campus. Led by faculty in the School of Emerging Media and Technology, attendees will learn the basics of JavaScript and leave with a distinctive digital artifact and the tools to create generative art. This workshop is perfect for students exploring their expressive side and curious about coding. No experience with coding is required to participate.

High School Business Camp

Ohio Business Week provides high school students with a unique, hands-on experience with business and entrepreneurship. The intensive week-long summer program brings motivated students together with business professionals to experience entrepreneurship through the lens of our American free enterprise system. 

Current high school freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors may apply. Once accepted, students are asked to pay a commitment fee of $499-$599 to help defray the costs of meals, housing, and program materials. Financial aid is available to qualified students.

University of Findlay's Pharmacy Summer Camp

Pharmacy Summer Camp is an overnight camp open to any high school student who will be either a junior or senior in high school in the fall of 2024. Our four-day three-night experience on campus gives students an opportunity to stay in a dorm and engage in hands-on activities with our esteemed pharmacy students and faculty. Students can choose to register for either June 9-12 or June 23-26 with an Early-bird DISCOUNT using this Registration Link.

University of Toledo - Virtual Cosmetic Science and Formulation Design Camp

Featured Speakers: L’Oreal, Colgate-Palmolive, Univar, and more!

Featured Topics: How are personal care products and makeup formulated and marketed to consumers? This camp will answer these questions (and more) through a series of activities and industry speakers.

Miami University's Summer Scholars Program

Session I: July 7-12, 2024

Session II: July 14-19, 2024

The Summer Scholars Program is a week-long summer experience for high-achieving high school students who will be juniors or seniors the following fall. This program provides experiential learning opportunities that will prepare you for college and future success. The Summer Scholars curriculum is built for active learners. Students participate in lively discussions, hands-on projects, and real-world experiences with our faculty.

West Point's Summer Leaders Experience

Led by current West Point cadets, Summer Leaders Experience (SLE) is a week-long immersion into the academic, military, and social life of a West Point cadet.  At SLE, you will explore West Point from all angles, including our high-tech educational facilities, team-building athletic activities, and realistic military training.   

SLE gives you a taste of the character, determination, commitment to excellence, and leadership skills required to become a cadet at West Point.

Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) MEDCAMP

July 11-13, 2024

Location: NEOMED

MEDCAMP is a three-day intensive immersion experience held in the summer, designed to stimulate students’ interests in the sciences related to medicine and to expose them to opportunities in those fields. The program provides “hands-on” experiences in biomedical science workshops involving research, clinical problem-solving and an introduction to the fields of clinical medicine.

Eligibility:  For students 18 years or older who have graduated high school at the time of the MEDCAMP and are enrolled and/or attending a university for Fall 2024.  (Senior high school students must have graduated in Spring 2024 and have turned 18 by July 11, 2024, to be eligible.)
