Project Title: Rice Subsidy Program
Target Date: by 6 weeks (until the end of the school year)
Project Proponent: Philippine Service Learning
Objectives:
This is being issued to guide the provision of rice subsidy to each school beneficiary of ADLPHS, LSTHS, and MIS. Specifically, this shall:
Provide rice for the student beneficiaries.
Sustain the program of the Philippine Service Learning.
Achieve SDG#2- Zero Hunger.
Rationale:
The Philippine Student Learning, being a student-bodied organization since 2018, delivers its services to students of Camarines Norte who are struggling financially by providing and funding free lunch during school days.
After years of sustainable service and program, unfortunately, the Philippine Service Learning now lacks funds to provide and sustain the feeding program given to its beneficiaries. Hence, the student leaders behind the organization thought of another way to provide the needs of the beneficiaries which is the Rice Subsidy Program. Through this, the Philippine Service Learning will be able to continue serving its beneficiaries and maximize its funds at the same time.
Methodology: The rice subsidy program will be given to PSL beneficiaries of Aniceta de Lara Pimentel High School, Labo Science and Technology High School, and Moreno Integrated School to continue the vision of suppressing hunger and providing meals to students in the form of rice packs. By this, students will be able to receive rice packs that will be a great help to them and to their families. Each student beneficiary will be given two (2) kilograms of rice per week. The rice subsidy program would create a safe space for students to grow, nurture, and be motivated in studying since their essential need is provided.
