Beginning with the 2013-2014 school year, Chadron Public Schools has been analyzing our longitudinal data to examine students results on the NWEA MAPS test. MAP Growth is the most trusted and innovative assessment for measuring achievement and growth in K–12 math, reading, language usage, and science. It provides teachers with accurate, and actionable evidence to help target instruction for each student or groups of students regardless of how far above or below they are from their grade level. It also connects to the largest set of instructional content providers, giving educators flexibility in curriculum choices. Due to testing requirements from the state of Nebraska and other factors, the NWEA Maps test has not been given on the same time table as of 2023 due to students needing to take the Nebraska Assessment instead of the NWEA test in the Spring. It may resume our regular schedule at some point in the future.
