State Records

1942 – Gordon Knox, state champion, broad jump (23’ 4”), Class A, longest jump in 32 years of state track-meet history, but record later disallowed because of excess winds; if accepted, the mark would have stood for all classes for 11 more years (until 1954).

1958 - Harold Haun, Dwight, 60-yard dash, tied the state record for the indoor meet at Ahearn Field House. 

1963-1964 - Loren Johnson, Wilsey, Mile Run, broke the state record for the Class BB indoor mile run in 1964. Broke his record the following year in 1965.
