A not-so-beatiful start to the day weather-wise turned out to be sunny and fine by the end of the meet Thursday at the Council Grove Invitational. The boy's team finished 2nd and the girls finished 3rd out of 8 teams. Athletes showed a great deal of improvement as the team piled up a total of 51 season bests in their respective events.Â

The team won 5 individual events on the day. Macy Bolen won the 100m with a PR of 13.31 in the 100m, Breckyn McEuen won the long jump with a jump of 15'9", Jadyn Picolet won the 1600m (4:55.73) and 3200m (10:32.69), and the girl's 4x100m team (Bolen, Emily Bacon, Alysia Werner, and Kiele Tyner) won with a time of 53.89. In total, the team earned 18 medals at the meet.
