Workroom Resources
If you are needing a read aloud book on a certain topic or character trait, this is a good starting point in your search. These books cover many aspects of social and emotional learning.
Most aides have experience using the binder. If you need help, ask an aide or the library for assistance.
To make sure our laminator is working properly, Mrs. Valerie does all laminating for the building. If you need something laminated, fill out a pink ticket and leave your project by the laminator.
Laminating is done of Tuesdays and Thursdays so please plan ahead.
These are simple and easy way to create a bulletin board or decorate a door. Multiple fonts and shapes are available.
We buy full size construction paper. They can be cut in half for smaller sheets or 1/8th for the Ellison Press. We try to keep the workroom stocked, but more paper is available in the hallway closet.
Attic Resources
Many recycled items are available in the attic: shoeboxes, magazines, cereal boxes, cardboard tubes, etc...
Many items needed for science lessons can be found in the attic: beakers, cylinders, slides, flashlights, etc...
Math manipulatives, scales, weights, 3d shapes, meter sticks, etc... are available for teacher use.
Sets of picture books on science topics are available in the attic for checkout.
There are many sets of leveled readers available in the attic for interventions and small groups in below, at, and above grade level.
These large size books are great for read alouds with PreK-1 grade classes.
Lots of colors to choose from, the big bulletin board paper is up in the attic.
