Immediate Risk Indicators
Talking about wanting to die or to kill oneself
Looking for a way to kill oneself, such as searching online or obtaining a gun
Talking about feeling hopeless or having no reason to live
If someone is showing these signs:
Stay with them
Call for help: 988 for Suicide/Crisis line or 911
Principals and Counselors please follow the Assessment process to the left when determining the level of risk of suicide. The document contains link to all the supporting documentation, of which you must keep a copy. Work through each step of the checklist carefully.
All other staff, please escort a student you are concerned about to the school principal or counselor.
