Seesaw is a phenomenal platform that allows students to create digital journals of their work while getting real-time feedback from parents, peers (if you turn on this feature), and teachers! You can post videos, pictures, class reminders, record your small group mini lesson for students and parents to watch, model problems for students and parents to view at home, and send messages directly to the parents via Seesaw. It is designed for students ranging from PreK to high school to use, so it is applicable to all grade levels!
If you are wanting to learn more about Seesaw, you can click on the link below to learn how to set up your class, sign the students into Seesaw, model activities for the students using the Sample Student feature, use the Activities library (full of ready-made Seesaw activities created by other teachers), show students how to add posts to Seesaw, and invite parents and families.

As a way to slowly introduce the students into all of the features on this program, Seesaw has created "Getting Started Guides" for each grade level. These guides have quick mini-lessons that you can do with your students during the first couple weeks of school to model how to use all of the features. When you complete the mini-lessons, each student will become "Seesaw certified" and you can pass out certificates to each student. This means they are ready to get on Seesaw independently in stations or however you choose to best structure it for your classroom. The best part about Seesaw is that it is easy to learn as you go!!
