Assessments

Wisconsin state statutes, the Department of Public Instruction and the CESA 7 Teacher Development Center require candidates pursuing licensure to pass standardized tests in order to receive the endorsement of the program. Tests vary by licensure area. Some of the common tests and resources can be found in the sections below.

You can click on the name of the test to get to the main homepage of each site and click on the button to get to the page that will help you register for your test.

Every scholar in the TDC Initial Educator (IE) Program or Traditional Add-On (TAO) Program, except for those pursuing licensure in a World Language, needs to take the content test for their particular license area. You can see our most commonly required tests below.

Test Preparation Resources

Most test websites offer a combination of free and paid resources that will help you study for your test.  We tend to recommend 240tutoring.com, which gives our scholars a special rate for registering through us. We do not profit from this arrangement. If you'd like to take advantage of the special rate, contact jwildenberg@cesa7.org and he will invite you.
