My name is Jordan Foltz and I am a candidate for Greeley County Commissioner – District 2. I have lived in Greeley my entire life and am a fourth-generation farmer.
I am an active member of the Greeley community and county and serve as:
• Member of the Greeley EMT,
• President of the Greeley Fire Department,
• Secretary of the Greeley Fire Rural Board,
• Vice President of the Greeley Rodeo Committee and
• Member of the Greeley Pool Committee.
I continually work hard for our communities and Greeley County.
It is the responsibility of the County Commissioners to approve budgets and oversee spending within the County. As a resident of Greeley and Greeley County, I believe it is time for change. My commitment to you is to work collectively with our elected officials and residents on issues, be a good steward of taxpayers’ monies and listen to you, the voters of Greeley County. I would greatly appreciate your vote on November 6th – together we can work for the growth and success of Greeley County.
Foltz has resided in the county district and is a registered voter which makes him qualified to run as a candidate.
Reason for running for Commissioner
The two things that I feel that need to be addressed and need to be continued we need to keep being very efficient with the way we spend tax dollars right now with Farmers budgets and economy being so low the struggle in day to day just to pay their taxes they need to see other people working for this county that are using that money as wisely and efficiently as We can the second thing I'd like to see is the county roads in areas need to be improved upon in certain areas they seem like they get great care of pretty well in other places seem to be lack luster they were could be being done with the amount of equipment at the county has now and the staff they have.
Ted Nekoliczak is the candidate for the Greeley County Commissioner and was born July 21st of 1986. He is a 2005 graduate of Greeley/Wolbach High School. Ted is a 4th generation farmer. Ted and his wife Rachelle along with their five children Dierks, Lincoln, Wren, Lawson, and Briggs, live on their family farm 7 miles Northwest of Greeley. Ted has run his own farming business Rolling Plains Farms Inc for the last 4 years, as well has been involved in the management of his father Tom Nekoliczak’s business 5 Star Farms. He has served on the parish council for Sacred Heart Church. He also runs the Central Valley Youth Baseball League, and the Central Valley Youth Wrestling Club.
Like many Young Americans, choosing a political party was very difficult. The views of the Democratic and Republican party are so different and ever changing that is hard for a conservative person to agree with all of them. I chose the Democratic Party because I think they stand more for the equal rights of all races and religions. In the past they have stood for the poor and supported agricultural world.
Nekoliczak resides in the county district and is a registered voter therefore making him qualified to run as a candidate.
Reason for running for Commissioner
The reason that I chose to run for commissioner is that I feel that our courthouse is divided. People in our community feel that they are not being listened to. Budgets, taxes, and County Roads are real issues, but there are no easy answers to fixing those problems, it will take a lot of discussion and maybe some unconventional thinking. Listening to people’s concerns and trying to understand some of what truly is affecting their lives, is a way that I feel that I can make a difference.
