As a member of the North Loup Village board for twenty years he has shown his commitment to address the well-being of the community of North Loup and valley county residents.
Mr. DeRiso is concerned with high property taxes for Valley County residents. He ran to help address some of the divisive issues within Valley County and to bring the perspective of local businesses and farmers to the board.
Caitlynn Stryker moved to the Valley County area about four years ago to be closer to her family, as her parents own Elyria Gardens in Elyria, NE. She was also attracted to the area because of the low cost of living and job availability. Stryker graduated from Crescent Valley High School in Corvallis, Oregon in 2006. She also attended community college in Nevada, with a focus on general studies and transferred to the University of Nevada at Reno. She has one son Logan who attends Central Valley Preschool.
Stryker was a volunteer intern during the 2008 election for President Obama's campaign in Las Vegas NV. She has also been active in various other political rallies, specifically for Joe Biden and Michelle Obama, during which time she felt a connection for social causes. She also worked for the Valley County Sheriffs office for approximately 3 years.
Caitlynn considers herself more fiscally conservative, looking to control government spending and to direct it into more positive areas. She would like to see the focus of Valley County spending directed toward social programs and other areas of community growth. She is concerned with issues that will soon face Valley County and encourages all residents to be active in understanding your local government and to exercise their right to vote.
