Metal Tooling “Floral Face”
9x12, Metal and Acrylic Paint, 2017
I slowly developed the idea of a face sporting flowers all around it by looking at drawings of people with flower crowns on. I wanted to put flowers on more of the face then just the forehead. I wanted them on the cheeks and other places. The process was mainly trying to decide which flowers I wanted and the sizes of each of them. I want my audience to think vaguely of a sugar skull when they see my artwork. I want them to notice the vibrancy of the flowers against the metal. I would change the eyes if i started over they ended up being different sizes and a bit more messy than I would like. I love how they colors of the flowers pop out against the metal.

8 x 10, Photoshop, 2017
I really liked the idea of a book full of flowers and since it was my first time using photoshop I made it a bit more simple than my first idea. I first sketched out the book and the flowers and then when i got it onto photoshop i started with the flowers and then did the book part and the outside of it. I want them to notice the different colors of the flowers because i tried to make them all different and diverse. I would change the background if I started over because i feel it is a bit boring and more could be added. I love how the center flower turned out the color is perfect and I really like it

6 ½ x 6 ½ x8,” Earthenware Clay and Glass, 2017
I wanted to make a bowl that was wider but as I was forming it, it began to get taller than wider so I changed it so it was taller than I had planned. The construction method i used was the clay method called pinch. I used three different types of glaze two on the inside and one on the outside. I would smooth out the clay more if I started over because there are scratchy parts on the inside that I don’t enjoy. I love how that two different colors turned out on the inside the greens look really good together and i also love how the jet moss turned out on the outside.
