Hannah Brogden “Blaze and the pink Bear”
18X24, Acrylic, 2017
My painting style is realism I took this photo of my first Dalmatian his name was Blaze he passed away from a blockage inside.
The window in the picture was originally dark and gloomy so changed it to a bright cloudy day because he isn’t here anymore so I thought it would be happier because our family loved him and he was such a good dog so that’s what symbolism is in the painting also the bear was his favorite toy.
If I started over I don’t think I would have done anything different because I really like how it turned out and it is my favorite painting I have ever painted.
The dog and bear are my favorite things out the painting because they are the center objects standing out and they look 3D, the shading on them make it look even more realistic how they get darker in parts the light doesn’t hit.
Hannah Brogden “Deer in the Night”
18X24, Acrylic, 2017
The style of my painting is surrealism and realism a deer standing in front of a giant moon in the night it looks like a shadow instead of colors that gives it a more realist look. The symbol for my painting is for my dad because his enjoys to hunt and for his new living room he wanted a painting and my sister made him a painting with a deer in it and he colored his room matching the painting so I made one for his living room. If I were to start over I would have started the first layers of my moon with more paint to add more textured because my favorite types of paintings are ones you can feel the paint and that’s what I love about mine.
Hannah Brogden “Marilyn Monroe”
18X24, Acrylic, 2017
The style of my painting is pop art it was originally a picture of Marilyn Monroe one of the most used pictures of her so I changed it to pop art to make it look a little more unique. The symbolism behind the painting is because she is one of my favorite famous model and actor and I painted it with colors to go with my bedroom to hang on my wall. If I started over I would have not changed anything because I really enjoyed this and I painted this exactly how I wanted. I love how the pop art turned out how it actually looks like her and the areas are not exactly shaped perfectly and that’s what gives it the pop art effect and I love how it turned out.
